Abstract:
 This paper makes an analysis on various kinds of structures in English for Science and Technology at different language levels including word，phrase，sentence and paragraph. Exploration on the techniques of the English-Chinese translation is carried out on the basis of these structures’ internal and external networks. "Building block" structure is especially emphasized in this article from the EST's grammatical composition. Translation on EST is a complicated and creative reproduction process. Common words sometimes acquire special meanings in Science and Technology English. A lot of new concepts, theories including new terms, acronyms and so on, have appeared with the development of Science and Technology. The ultimate goal of the EST translation is to create an equivalent vocatively and informatively. It required the translator to have well-knit professional knowledge and excellent skills both on Chinese and English. And the combination of different ways of thinking seems to be much helpful. I expound my views mainly on the application of logical thinking and visual thinking respectively in EST translation.
